7th Grade Social Studies: In Class: we played Illinois Jeopardy!  Homework: The Illinois Constitution Test is on Friday!!

Reading: In Class: students continued to work on the Greek Myth Packet.  Homework: none

Religion: In Class: students prepared posters that will be used in the End of the Year Mass on June 4th.

7th Grade Social Studies: In Class: we corrected the Illinois Map and I answered questions about the Illinois Constitution Test.  Homework: Illinois Constitution Test is on Friday

Reading: In Class: we read the Greek Myth Arachne together and students answered the Check Your Comprehension Questions and Comprehension Booster questions.  The class then corrected these pages together.  Homework: none

Religion: Mrs. Sullivan worked with the class.

7th Grade Social Studies: In Class: we corrected the Illinois Constitution practice test and students completed the Illinois Constitution Study Guide.  Homework: the Illinois Constitution Test will be on Friday.

8th Grade Social Studies: In Class: we talked about student’s favorite US History topics and the topics they would have liked to skip!  Students were able to keep their Social Study books!

Religion: In Class: we read pages 95-98 about Anointing of the Sick.  Homework: none

7th Grade Social Studies: In Class: students completed their Illinois Road Maps and then worked on an Illinois Constitution Practice Test.  The final Illinois Constitution Test will be on Friday, May 29th.  Homework: to finish the map and practice test.

8th Grade Social Studies: In Class: we were dancing!  We finished reading and discussing the 70′s and even went over the footwork for the Hustle!  Homework: none

Reading: In Class: student groups read and reported to the class on a Greek Myth.  Homework: none

Religion: In Class: we took the Music Test and then read pages 95-98 in the textbook.  Homework: none

8th Grade Social Studies: In Class: we continued to read the 70′s packet about the Watergate Scandal.  Homework: none

Reading: In Class: we read the short story “The Play” and discussed it.  Homework: none

8th Grade Social Studies: In Class: the class read the 70′s packet–the Apollo 13 Mission, Iranian Hostage Crisis, inventions of the 70′s and Title IX.   Homework: none

7th Grade Social Studies: In Class: students took the Illinois Voting quiz and then we finished reading/highlighting page 67 (Special Purpose Districts). Homework: none

8th Grade Social Studies: In Class: we covered the Civil Rights Movement, Beatles, and President Kennedy of the 1960′s.  Homework: the WWII study guide is due on Wednesday.

Religion: In Class: students completed page 94 in the textbook.  Homework: to finish the chart on page 94

7th Grade Social Studies: In Class: we read and highlighted pages 66&67 about Illinois Taxes and Special Purpose Districts.  Homework:  Illinois Voting quiz on Tuesday.

8th Grade Social Studies: In Class: we read pages 645-647 about the Election of 1960, the Cuban Missile Crisis, and Apollo 11.  We also read articles from a “60′s Packet” and listened to clips from We Interrupt This Broadcast.  Homework: the WWII study guide is due on Wednesday.

Reading: In Class: students completed grammar worksheets 197&199 and the class corrected them together. Homework: reading voucher due Friday.

Religion: we went to 8:30 Mass.
